The following detail of finish and specification applies to all standard items of cabinet furniture within our ranges. Alternative finishes and modified specification are available within our tailor-made service.

All units are manufactured using high quality American Light Oak wood veneers or alternatively European Beech or Ash veneers. We offer the option of either a high density 18mm chipboard core (min 650 kg/m3 density) or alternatively an 18mm plywood core.

All items have 2mm hardwood lipping to all leading edges. Worktops have a thicker 5mm solid edge to three sides and the solid front rolled leading edge is 38mm x 21mm thick. The worksurface itself can be finished in either a matching wood veneer or a durable high pressure laminate on an 18mm MDF core.

All doors incorporate a heavy duty continuous piano hinge, electro-brassed steel and are fastened with a strong magnetic catch.

The handle used as standard is a very strong solid oak or beech recessed handle, although we can offer a wide choice of alternative handles and knobs.

Drawers are manufactured with 12mm drawer-side plywood, dovetail-jointed on 4 corners and 4mm plywood bottoms. Drawers run on heavy duty metal self-closing runners.

Wardrobes include heavy duty levelling feet for uneven floors and include 100mm skirting cut-outs as standard, as do all desk and chest units. The backs of wardrobes and chests are 4mm plywood, rebated and recessed 25mm to allow for pipes / cut-outs. Internal fittings for wardrobes are constructed using the same 18mm thick veneered panels as the carcase, including 2mm hardwood lippings.

Final surfaces are given two coats of acid catalyst lacquer for a tough and durable finish. All items are delivered fully assembled with protective wrapping.
